Otolaryngology

Physicians and researchers in the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT)/Head and Neck Surgery specialize in diseases and disorders of the head and neck, including melanoma.

Mayo Clinic has one of the largest otolaryngology practices in the world, with more than 40 specialists providing care to patients in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota.

Our otolaryngology specialists have extensive experience treating head and neck melanoma, including cancer on the skin of the head, face and neck, and on mucosal sites, such as within the nose, sinuses and mouth. We perform sentinel lymph node biopsies, provide surgical management of the neck, and offer patients excision and reconstruction in the operating room. We also partner closely with physicians in other specialties, such as dermatology, to ensure that we provide seamless and up-to-date multidisciplinary care for patients with melanoma.
