Laboratory Medicine and Pathology

Mayo Clinic is home to one of the world's largest clinical pathology and laboratory services. Every year, the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in Minnesota processes thousands of specimens from around the country related to melanoma diagnoses.

Mayo Clinic provides consultative services for difficult or rare melanoma pathology diagnoses. The nine divisions within the department offer a wide range of services for diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations, from cytogenetics to molecular genetics.
