Funding Opportunities

The deadline for applications for the 2024 awards is Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at 5 p.m. Central time. Awards will be announced in spring 2024.

For 2024, Benefactor-Funded Research Mid-Career Development Awards are available in these focus areas:

Marie Ingalls Cardiovascular Research Career Development Award in Honor of Alexander Schirger, M.D. — one award of $100,000 a year for up to three years. This award is restricted to applicants at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Career Development Award in Orthopedics Research (2 of 2) — one award of $100,000 a year for two years. This award is restricted to a practicing clinician at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Roderick and Verena Cushman Clinician Career Development Award in Translational Research — one award of $50,000 a year for up to three years. This award is restricted to practicing clinicians.
