  • Cardiovascular Effects of Adderall in Healthy Young Adults Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to determine blood pressure and heart rate changes (hemodynamic changes) in healthy adults after taking one dose of prescription medication Adderall 25 mg orally, and comparing the results to those of  a placebo pill.

  • Safety of Ataciguat in Patients with Moderate Calcific Aortic Valve Stenosis Rochester, MN

This study will determine whether Ataciguat (HMR1766) is well-tolerated in patients with mild to moderate calcific aortic valve stenosis. The primary focus of these studies will be on changes in blood pressure and orthostatic tolerance (i.e., ability to stand up without passing out), and determining whether treatment with Ataciguat results in significant reductions in blood pressure in this patient population.

  • A Study of How the Regulation of Resting Blood Pressure is Altered in Menopausal Women Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the autonomic support of blood pressure alters after menopause in women, the importance of female sex hormones in blood pressure control, and the potential for exercise training to provide a therapeutic pathway that might limit increases in blood pressure in this population.

  • Respiratory Muscle Contribution to Blood Pressure During Exercise Rochester, MN

The investigators seek to understand how reflexes from the breathing muscles influence blood pressure during exercise. Furthermore, the investigators are determining if increasing breathing muscle strength (via inspiratory muscle training) influences the respiratory muscle contribution to blood pressure during exercise.

  • Interactive Care Plan Using a Remote BP Monitoring Device in Primary Care La Crosse, WI; Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of adopting the use of a Hypertension management interactive care plan (ICP) using a remote BP monitoring device in primary care practice (device connected BP ICP).

  • A Study of Wearable Wireless Device in Addition to Standard Monitoring to Record Vital Signs in Patients in the ICU/Stepdown Unit Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ

The purpose of the study is to validate wearable device monitoring with standard ICU/stepdown patient vital signs monitoring especially heart rate, telemetry, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.

  • High Sensitive Multichannel Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Monitor No Locations

The objective of this study is to obtain preliminary data to evaluate the accuracy of non-invasive blood pressure measurement in patients supported by continuous-flow left ventricular assist device (LVAD) using non-invasive supra-systolic methods in highly sensitive experimental blood pressure monitor.

  • Validation Study of Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Jacksonville, FL

The purpose of this study is to compare measurements of blood pressure (BP) between the Philips non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) system (including NIBP cuff and portable patient monitor) and invasive radial arterial line (A-line) in critical care patients.
