Science of Health Care Delivery

The interface between primary care and behavioral health is a rich environment for research. Several clinical and research programs are examining strategies to improve access to behavioral health and to enhance the delivery of evidence-based mental health treatments.

Integrated behavioral health

Specialized research groups can be found across Mayo Clinic sites, which include the main campuses in Minnesota, Florida, and Arizona, and hospitals that make up the Mayo Clinic Health System.

For example, the primary care and integrated behavioral health team, which is made up of investigators from a variety of disciplines, has been researching the implementation of evidence-based quality improvement projects for several prevalent mental health conditions including depression and anxiety disorders.
