• Genetics of Pediatric Eye Disease Rochester, Minn.

  The purpose of this study is to test the hypothesis that abnormalities of binocular vision underlie the various forms of strabismus by determining the heritability of subclinical markers of abnormal binocular vision (same 6 as described in Aim 1 above) in family members of 150-200 patients (500 total subjects) with accommodative esotropia. This new knowledge will guide classification schemes for future genetic studies and provide insights into the underlying nature of strabismus.
