A Study to Integrate Clinical Characteristics, Family History and Novel Imaging Strategies for Evaluation of Right Ventricular Performance to Advance Treatment of Right Ventricular Dysfunction

About this study

The purpoose of this study is to improve our ability to non-invasively assess the function of the right side of your heart when it is supplying blood to your body.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion:

  • Identify and recruit patients with HLHS and their first degree relatives and other patients with SRV. 
  • Potential research subjects with HLHS and other SRV will be identified from the Mayo Clinic echocardiographic and surgical databases. 
  • Patients and/or their parents/legal guardians will be contacted by telephone to inform them of our multi-component program investigating hypoplastic left heart syndrome and provided brief description of the programs purpose and structure.
