The Mindful Breathing Laboratory offers a variety of classes, events and clinical programs that are free and open to the public.

Current offerings include:

Mindfulness meditation practice

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention and being aware of life in the present moment. This class offers a guided mindfulness meditation session with Dr. Benzo. Meetings are conducted via Zoom.

Time: Wednesdays from 5:30-6 p.m. Central time

Meditation retreat

We host a free, in-person meditation retreat at Assisi Heights Spirituality Center in Rochester, Minnesota, at the change of seasons — summer, fall, winter and spring.

This is a three-hour silent retreat that runs from 9 a.m. to noon Central time on a Saturday morning.

The retreat includes periods of silent sitting, meditation and nature walking, along with an optional yoga practice. A guided 108-sun salutation practice is available at 7:30 a.m. for those who want to practice yoga before the retreat.
