  • Neuromyelitis Optica Clinical Consortium (NMOCC) Clinical Database Development for Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ

    The primary objective is of this protocol to create a database of NMO patient information that can be queried to address specific scientific questions.  The first series of questions will focus on the clinical characteristics and course of the disease.  For example, sex ratio, ethnicity, and age of onset will be described for NMOSD as a whole and amongst the different diagnostic subcategories.  A main question of whether NMO-IgG seropositive patients differ with respect to disease activity compared with seronegative patients and exploratory multivariable analyses of the natural history will be conducted

  • Matched Serum and Cerebrospinal Fluid Disease Repository Rochester, MN

    The aim is to establish a repository consisting of clinical information, radiological data, serum, peripheral blood lymphocytes, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and tissue specimens collected prospectively from patients with CNS diseases and controls.

    The purpose of this study is to establish a repository consisting of clinical information, radiological data, serum, peripheral blood lymphocytes, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), urine, stool, DNA and tissue specimens collected from patients who have central nervous system (CNS)  inflammatory diseases.
