Evaluating Intraoperative Indocyanine Green Dye Fluorescence Angiography for Sarcoma Resectiong

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of ICG as an intraoperative guide during bone and soft tissue sarcoma resection to determine if ICG fluorescence will be an accurate, real-time, intraoperative margin detector during resection of musculoskeletal sarcomas.

Elegibilidad para la participación

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients (≥ 18 years of age).
  • Having biopsy-proven bone or soft tissue sarcoma undergoing resection.
  • Patients will be identified in orthopedic oncology clinic and will be recruited if planning to undergo resection of a biopsy-proven bone or soft tissue sarcoma.
  • Patients will be recruited either during their pre-operative clinic appointment or in the pre-operative area before surgery by a member of the research team. Consent form will be presented and will be evaluated in detail with the patient.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients < 18 years of age.
  • Having chronic kidney disease and anaphylaxis to dyes.
