A Study to Evaluate a Multiplex Precision Medicine System for Early Warning of Progression Toward Shock After Trauma

The purpose of this study is to evaluate performance of already developed porcine algorithms in the human “models” of lower body negative pressure (LBNP), and to obtain human model training and validation data sets from LBNP for further refinement of the algorithms.

Elegibilidad para la participación

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subjects between 18-55 years of age.
  • Non-obese (BMI < 30).
  • Non-smokers.
  • Free of any systemic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, neurologic disease, or any other major medical co-morbidity. 
  • All inclusion/exclusion criteria will be at the discretion of the Principal Investigator. 
  • Women will be either surgically sterilized or non-pregnant as determined by a urine pregnancy test. 
    • Urine pregnancy tests will be completed within 48 hours of any study intervention. If the test is positive they will not be able to participate in the study.   

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Children less than 18 years of age because they are unable to give consent and because these studies are invasive and non-therapeutic.
