Ensayos clínicos

Inclusion Criteria:

• 18 years of age or older.
• Scheduled for surgery (inpatient or outpatient) within the next 14 days.
• Expected to be discharged to home or self-care (routine discharge). Home health care is acceptable if the purpose is other than pain management (e.g., wound care).
• Sufficient cognitive function to understand the expectations of the study and provide informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria: 

• Admitted from another hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health agency, hospice, or other healthcare institution.
• Preferred language other than English.
• Anticipated discharge status other than home or self-care (e.g., skilled nursing facility, hospice).
• Postponement of surgery more than 14 days from the date expected at the time of enrollment.
• Cancellation of surgery.
• Rehospitalization after discharge.
• Unable to receive a survey administered by email.
