Study Analyzing Implied Preferences for Gadolinium Properties in Patients Undergoing Breast MRI

The purpose of this study is to measure the part-worth utilities breast MRI screening patients place on different MRI gadolinium contrast parameters, and to use those data to better understand and deliver patient-centered contrast agents for MRI screening exams.

Elegibilidad para la participación

Inclusion Criteria:

 

  • Adult women scheduled to undergo a clinically-indicated breast MRI exam.
  • Women with a personal history of breast cancer or high or immediate risk factors for breast cancer, including:
    • BRCA1 mutations, BRCA2 mutations, and other mutations that confer high risk;
    • Untested first degree relatives of patients with mutations conferring high risk;
    • History of chest radiation between ages 10 and 30;
    • History of atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH), atypical lobular neoplasia (ALH), or lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS)”.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Inpatients.
  • Pediatric patients.
  • Patients who are unable to provide consent.
  • Patients who cannot compete the survey.
