Research

Mayo Clinic researchers study ways to improve the diagnosis and treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Participation in clinical trials and other research studies may be available to you at Mayo Clinic.

Mayo researchers have made important discoveries in the genetics of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, including the identification of seven new hypertrophic cardiomyopathy-susceptibility genes. Specific efforts involve the study of the genetic causes of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and new diagnostic tests and treatments for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Read more about research in the Cardiovascular Research Center and in the Sudden Death Genomics Laboratory.
