Clinical trials Below are current clinical trials.105 studies in Hematology (open studies only). Filter this list of studies by location, status and more. A Study of the Safety, Tolerability, Drug/Body Interactions, Biological and Clinical Activity of MSB0011359C (M7824) in Metastatic or Locally Advanced Solid Tumors Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, drug/body interactions, and the biological and clinical activities of MSB0011359C (M7824) at different dose levels given to patients who have metastatic or locally advanced solid tumors. A Study to Evaluate VSV-hIFNbeta-NIS to Treat Patients with Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myleoma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or T-cell Lymphoma Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. This phase I trial studies the best dose and side effects of recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus carrying the human NIS and IFN beta genes (VSV-hIFNbeta-sodium iodide symporter [NIS]) in treating patients with multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia, or T-cell lymphoma that has come back or does not respond to treatment. A virus, called VSV-hIFNbeta-NIS, which has been changed in a certain way, may be able to kill cancer cells without damaging normal cells. Hypo-fractionated Proton Radiation Therapy With or Without Androgen Suppression for Intermediate Risk Prostate Cancer Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects, good and/or bad of two treatment methods on subjects and their cancer. Proton beam radiation therapy is one of the treatments for men with prostate cancer who have localized disease. The benefit of the combination with androgen suppression is not completely understood. This study will compare the use of hypofraction proton therapy (28 treatments) alone to proton therapy with androgen suppression therapy. A Study to Evaluate the Role of Gut Microbiome in Cancer Therapy Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to correlate gut microbiome with specific cancer diagnoses and the clinical response (effectiveness), and adverse effects of cancer therapy (single or multiple) and stem cell transplant. Spearhead 1 Study in Subjects With Advanced Synovial Sarcoma or Myxoid/Round Cell Liposarcoma Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate genetically-engineered ADP-A2M4 in HLA-A*02 subjects with metastatic or inoperable (advanced) Synovial Sarcoma or Myxoid/Round Cell Liposarcoma (MRCLS) who have received prior chemotherapy and whose tumor expresses the MAGE-A4 tumor antigen. A Study of Cell, Serum, and Bone Marrow Bank for Patients receiving Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell Therapy for the Treatment of Cancer Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to store blood, serum and bone marrow so that they can be used for laboratory studies that may contribute to finding the exact function of the CART cells or T-cell engager therapy such as bispecific and trispecific antibodies and the factors that may determine disease progression and treatment response. Safety/Efficacy of MEDI-551 in Combination With Immunomodulating Therapies in Subjects With Aggressive B-cell Lymphomas Rochester, Minn. This is a Phase 1b/2 open-label study to evaluate the safety/efficacy of MEDI-551 + MEDI0680 (AMP-514) in participants with relapsed or refractory aggressive B-cell lymphomas who have failed 1-2 prior lines of therapy. The primary objectives are to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or highest protocol-defined dose (HPDD); in the absence of exceeding the MTD of MEDI-551 in combination with MEDI0680 (AMP-514); and to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and clinical activity of MEDI-551 in combination with MEDI0680 (AMP-514). Exploring Mechanisms of Action and Resistance of Therapeutic Agents in Patients with B-cell Malignancies Jacksonville, Fla. This study is being performed to understand the causes of drug resistance and to improve the treatment options for patients diagnosed with B-cell cancers. We aim to identify the reasons why certain therapies work and others don’t and as result- develop new treatments for blood cancers. Focal Laser Ablation of Prostate Cancer Tumors Rochester, Minn. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and safety of MRI-guided focal laser ablation (Laser-Induced Interstitial Thermal Therapy, LITT) to treat low-risk native prostate cancer. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole Graded Administration in Oncology, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant, and Solid Organ Transplant Patients with a History of Sulfonamide Allergy Rochester, Minn. The aim of this study is to study the efficacy and safety of our short and long one-day protocols for TMP-SMX graded administration in hematologic malignancy, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and solid organ transplant patients. The patient comes first. So the mission and research here is to advance how we can best help the patient, how to make sure the patient comes first in care. So in many ways, it's a cycle. It can start with as simple as an idea worked on in a laboratory, brought to the patient bedside, and if everything goes right — and let's say it's helpful or beneficial — then brought on as a standard approach. And I think that is one of the unique characteristics of Mayo's approach to research — that patient-centeredness — that really helps to put it in its own spotlight.
