3D illustration of cryogenic electron microscopy structures of G protein-coupled receptors Recently solved cryo-EM structures

The composite image above shows cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structures of receptors that are the focus of work in the Miller lab. From left to right: CCK1R-Gq, side view; CCK1R-Gq, top view; SecR-Gs, side view; Sec-Gs, top view

The laboratory of Laurence J. Miller, M.D., at Mayo Clinic studies the molecular pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The lab has portfolios of projects directed toward the class A cholecystokinin receptor and the class B secretin receptor.

Dr. Miller's laboratory is experienced in all types of pharmacological, biochemical, cell biological and biophysical approaches to the characterization of GPCR structure, function and regulation. The major impact of this research is on receptor-active drug development.
