SUMMARY

The clinical and research interests of William F. Young Jr., M.D., revolve around adrenal gland disorders characterized by high blood pressure. These include pheochromocytoma and primary aldosteronism; adrenal gland tumors; pituitary gland disorders and tumors; and familial endocrine syndromes such as multiple endocrine neoplasia types 1 and 2, von Hippel Lindau disease, Carney complex, and paraganglioma syndromes. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles and is a co-author on national clinical practice guidelines for primary aldosteronism and pheochromocytoma.
