SUMMARY

Chee-Chee H. Stucky, M.D., is a surgical oncologist. Dr. Stucky works in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. She builds comprehensive and individualized plans of care for people with tumors of the hepatobiliary-pancreatic tract, endocrine tumors and sarcomas. Her primary focus of research includes translational studies for pancreatic cancer, endocrinopathies in the abdominal transplant population and surgical ergonomics.

  • Surgical ergonomics and associated surgical symptoms and injuries.
  • Total neoadjuvant chemotherapy and chemoradiation approach in pancreatic cancer.
  • Multidisciplinary treatment of tumors of the hepatobiliary system including metastatic colorectal cancer and well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors.
  • Neoadjuvant radiation and intraoperative radiation plus radical resection in soft tissue sarcoma.

Significance to patient care

Dr. Stucky spends hours planning surgeries by looking at imaging, studying tumor biology, considering complex anatomy and anticipating challenges. This planning is particularly important to get the best results when tumors are in difficult locations.
