Rhodes.Nicholas@mayo.edu Clinical Profile

SUMMARY

Nicholas G. Rhodes, M.D., is a radiologist with the clinical and research goal of improving imaging to better clinical care and treatment outcomes. His research attempts to discern and draw attention to previously overlooked findings from routine imaging. Dr. Rhodes also strives to integrate advances in imaging with clinical practice.

Focus areas

  • Using MRI and CT in musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and routine clinical imaging.
  • Maintaining an analog connection to education and clinical care in the digital age.

Significance to patient care

The imaging world is changing rapidly. New AI tools can enhance the ability of radiologists to improve care. Using AI can unlock much data from imaging sets that have been previously unretrievable and largely unnoticed. The end goal is to get more from less and to make Mayo Clinic's radiology practice, and imaging in general, more efficient and beneficial for people.
