SUMMARY

My research agenda is focused on spinal cord disorders. There are several ongoing projects related to the epidemiology and the rehabilitation outcome of non-traumatic spinal cord disorders. Additionally we are interested in strategies to restore function after traumatic spinal cord injury.

Several studies include people with both traumatic and non- traumatic spinal cord injuries. Some are investigating innovative medications, others wheelchair fit and function and some investigate therapy interventions. Finally we are also conducting a pilot study of the relationship between one's spirituality and the outcome of rehabilitation for people with spinal cord disorders/ injuries.
