Kipp.Benjamin@mayo.edu Clinical Profile

SUMMARY

The research interests of Benjamin R. Kipp, Ph.D., include the development of molecular genetic assays for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of solid tumors; clinical next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology for hereditary and somatic diseases; and molecular cytology and circulating tumor assays for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of multiple cancer types.

Focus areas

  • Gastrointestinal cancers
  • Solid tumors

Significance to patient care

Dr. Kipp and colleagues have developed and implemented numerous clinical tests that aid clinicians in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of cancer. The goal of his research is to develop and implement newer technologies to detect cancer earlier, when it is still amenable to curative treatment, or to identify novel therapeutic targets in patients with advanced cancers who may benefit from newer therapies.
