SUMMARY

Chaplain Mary E. Johnson MA, Assistant Professor of Oncology, coordinates spiritual research efforts within the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. These interests currently focus on the mediating effect of spiritual well being in coping and adaptation to cancer. This component of discovery is an essential element in our overall psychosocial/spiritual understanding of the people in our care as well as cancer's impact on their lives.
