Cynthia A. Hogan, Ph.D., focuses her research on the impact of hearing loss at all ages and finding the best solutions for treating individuals who have hearing loss.

Dr. Hogan is particularly interested in the use of hearing aids and communication strategies that address individual needs.

Focus areas

  • Determining best amplification options and evaluating outcomes for individuals who have hearing loss in one ear, or who have a difference in hearing between ears.
  • Assisting patients in finding the best pathway for treatment of their hearing loss.
  • Evaluating factors that impact success with hearing aids.

Dr. Hogan is a clinical audiologist who works in the Mayo Clinic Hearing Aid Program and is able to improve patients' lives through use of different forms of amplification and counseling.
