SUMMARY

Albert N. Attia, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist that treats people with prostate cancers, bladder cancers, kidney cancers as well as gynecological cancers. Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Attia was an associate professor and residency program director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Attia's research interests focus on improving cancer outcomes in people with prostate cancer by studying effects of radiotherapy in combination with new medicines and radiopharmaceuticals. As an educator, Dr. Attia participates in research to improve the educational experience for radiation oncology residents.

  • Utilization of stereotactic body radiotherapy for treatment of oligometastatic prostate cancer.
  • Studying the role of radiopharmaceuticals and external beam radiotherapy to improve therapeutic index for individuals with prostate cancer.
