SUMMARY

The research of Steven C. Ames, Ph.D., is focused on tobacco control, particularly the design of more-effective smoking cessation interventions for particularly at-risk populations, including young adults, medical patients, uninsured people and low-income individuals. Additionally, Dr. Ames performs ongoing research to develop new approaches to enhance the quality of life of patients with cancer and help these individuals cope with their illnesses.
