About this study

The purpose of this study is to begin introducing objective measurements to the prosthetic and orthotic device optimization process. The long-term goal of this program is to improve patient satisfaction and functional performance while reducing timelines to achieve these goals.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Participants must use a lower limb prosthesis as well as an orthosis or other device on the non-amputated side to address a neuromuscular deficit.
  • Participants must be able to follow testing instructions.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Inability to walk one city block in a single activity bout.
  • Currently compromised skin integrity on residual limb.
