Novel Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Image-Guided Radioablation for Ventricular Tachycardia

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if nonInvasive cardiac radioablation (NICRA) can provide selective access to deeper scarred myocardial tissue for ablation. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • ≥ 18 years of age.
  • > 3 episodes of ICD treated VT within the past 3 months.
  • Presence of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
  • Failure of > 1 anti-arrhythmic medication and > 1 cardiac ablation (or contraindication to cardiac ablation).
  • Patients capable of childbearing must agree to use adequate contraception.
  • Ability to provide written informed consent. 

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients < 18 years of age.
  • Prior radiation therapy to the chest.
  • Inability to undergo a cardiac MRI.
  • Active ischemia or reversible causes of VT.
  • Life expectancy less than 12 months, in the absence of VT.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Nursing women.
  • Men or women of childbearing potential who are unwilling to employ adequate contraception.
