Echocardiographic Findings of Collegiate Wrestlers With Rapid Weight Loss

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the transthoracic echocardiographic (TTE) findings associated with rapid weight loss and season training among competitive collegiate wrestlers. In addition,to evaluate body composition, weight loss methods and energy availability at different time points during the season.

We hypothesize that the degree of rapid weight loss will be associated with abnormalities of myocardial function.
