7 Tesla MRI in ALSP Patients

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the sensitivity and specificity of ultra-high field MRI (7 Tesla) to standard 3T MRI for the of characteristic imaging findings in the diagnosis of Adult-onset Leukoencephalopathy with Axonal Spheroids and Pigmented Glia (ALSP).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male or female subjects, aged ≥ 18 years on the day the informed consent form (ICF) is signed.
  • Subjects who are enrolled in IRB 21-006198.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Contraindication to either 3T or 7T brain MRI (ineligible metallic implants, < 30 kg or > 115 kg, etc.).
