About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess human and AI performance in grading contact dermatitis reactions in healthy volunteers.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults over the age of 18.
  • Willing and able to provide informed consent.
  • Consecutive subjects must report symptoms and/or history consistent with allergic contact dermatitis to at least one of the allergens tested in the study (i.e., subjects are visiting the clinic/physician to diagnose, treat or resolve this condition).

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Under 18 years of age.
  • Has used topical or oral steroids two weeks prior to patch testing.
  • Currently taking immunosuppression agents or is immunocompromised due to medical condition.
  • No sunburn or rash at site of testing.
  • Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant.
  • Treatment with ultraviolet (UV) light (including tanning) during the two weeks prior to visit.
  • Subjects unable to comply with patch test study requirements including multiple return visits and activity restrictions (e.g. protecting patch test area from excess moisture due to showering).
