A Study to Evaluate Arterial Mechanical Properties with Ultrasound-based Methods

About this study

The purpose of this research is to use new ultrasound-based methods to measure the mechanical properties of arteries.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • The subjects will be between 45-90 years old for both genders.
  • Post-menopausal women.
  • Subjects must be able to provide written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Subjects younger than 45 years old.
  • Subjects with a BMI > 40.
  • Subjects with a history of bariatric surgery.
  • Subjects with a history of carotid surgery.
  • Subjects not able to provide written consent.
  • Vulnerable populations such as neonates, children, pregnant women, and prisoners.
