A Survey of Co-Morbidities of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS) Patients Pre- and Post-Treatment

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the presence and severity of comorbid conditions in patients referred for treatment of PCS, and to determine if treating pelvic vein abnormalities can result in any improvement in symptoms of these associated conditions.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subjects eligible for the study include females greater than or equal to 18 years of age with symptoms of pelvic congestion syndrome / pelvic pain for greater than 6 months duration and have confirmed pelvic varicosities or iliac venous obstruction based on diagnostic radiologic examination or by laparoscopic surgery.
  • Patients must be able to provide consent.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Exclusion criteria include those patients who are evaluated for chronic pelvic pain and are found to likely have pain due to etiology other than venous vascular origin.
