A Study to Evaluate the Effects of Exercise on Fatigue in Thyroid Cancer Survivors

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine whether an exercise program reduces fatigue and improves physical activity in thyroid cancer patients, and to determine the effect of a home-based program compared to a center- based program.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults ≥ 18 years of age.
  • Patients with well-differentiated thyroid cancer.
  • Patients with self-reported fatigue any time after initial treatment of thyroid cancer.
  • English speaking.
  • Able to provide consent.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Pregnant.
  • Medullary thyroid cancer.
  • Anaplastic thyroid cancer.
  • Physical limitations to perform exercise.
