Pre-Transplant Patients’ Experiences with Uncertainty

About this study

The primary research goal of this qualitative study is to explore how patients experience the time between transplant listing and transplantation especially with regards to uncertainty.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Patients age 18 or older who are listed or deferred status on the heart or lung transplant waiting list at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN or Jacksonville, FL and are able to provide consent.

Exclusion Criteria:

Under the age of 18.
