Medication Usage After Coronary Artery Bypass Graft

About this study

The purpose of this study is to document trends of medication usage in patients with isolated coronary artery bypass graft in Mayo Clinic Rochester 10, 5 or 1 years ago who were discharged on a full medication regime and compare how many of these patients still receive full secondary prevention drugs, which patients are on partial regimens and reasons for such difference.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Patients who received isolated CABG surgery in three intervals January to December 2007, 2012 and 2016.
>18 years old.
Consented to participate in research.
Patients believed to be alive, who were discharged on all three medications: Statins, Aspirin and Beta blockers.
Patients who reside in the United States.

Exclusion Criteria:

Those <18 years old.
Patients who reside outside the US, were reported as deceased patients who received CABG concomitant to other procedures.
Patients who were not discharged on all medications due to different reasons.
