Longitudinal Imaging Biomarkers of Disease Progression in Prodromal and Overt DLB

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Diagnosis of dementia will be based on the DSM-IV criteria, and diagnosis of probable DLB will be based on the 4th Consortium Criteria and prodromal DLB (MCI-LB) based on the research criteria by McKeith et al.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Have a reliable informant who personally speaks with or sees that subject at least weekly.
  • Subject is sufficiently fluent in English to complete all measures.
  • Subject must be willing and able to consent to the protocol and undergo up to 6 visits. Baseline visit, 6 month visit and then yearly evaluations (year 1, 2, 3, and 4 from the baseline visit).
  • Subject must be willing and able to undergo neuropsychological testing.
  • Subject must have no contraindication to MRI imaging.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Presence of another neurologic disorder which could impact findings, such as multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, etc.
  • Subject is unwilling to return for follow-up yearly, undergo neuropsychological testing and MR imaging.
  • If undergoing Tau imaging cannot have QT Prolongation.
  • Subject has no reliable informant.
