About this study

The purpose of this study is to:

  1. To assess patient feelings and opinions on their variants
  2. To evaluate how the discovery of this variant has impacted relatives
  3. To evaluate how individuals would incorporate this knowledge into reproductive planning
  4. To create practice guidelines for handling this information in the future

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

  • Able to provide Oral Consent

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Non-competent
  • Under the age of 18
  • Patient refusal to participate in research studies at Mayo Clinic
