About this study

The purpose of this study is to document the long-term outcomes of secondary (symptomatic) narcolepsy in the pediatric patient population at the Mayo Clinic using chart review and mailed questionnaire.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Mayo Clinic patients with secondary narcolepsy who were between age 5 and 18 years at the time of narcolepsy diagnosis.
- The diagnosis will need to have been established on the basis of nocturnal polysomnogram (PSG) and MSLT.

Exclusion Criteria:

Idiopathic narcolepsy
Hypersomnia unrelated to narcolepsy
Age over 18 at time of diagnosis
