About this study

The purpose of this study is to observe therapy dog visits effects on nurse job satisfaction and productivity.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Each nursing department must:

Be 18 years or older
Able to consent to participating
Willing to participate throughout all four treatments
Read and speak English
Able to answer an electronic survey and questionnaire weekly
No dog allergies or fears

Exclusion Criteria:

Minors and children
Unwilling to consent
Unable to participate throughout all treatments
Unable to read or speak English
Unable to answer an electronic survey and questionnaire weekly
Dog allergies or fears
