About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop an RNA-seq based peripheral blood assay predictive of inflammation/rejection on allograft biopsy in adult heart transplant recipients.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Patients who meet all of the following criteria are eligible for enrollment as study participants:

  1. Adult (≥18 years) solitary heart transplant recipient
  2. Patient is willing and able to provide informed written consent

Exclusion Criteria:

Patients who meet any of these criteria are not eligible for enrollment as study participants:

  1. Adult (<18 years) heart transplant recipient
  2. Patient refusal to enroll in the study
  3. Any simultaneous heart and extra organ transplant, including pancreas, liver, lung, kidney, etc. Subjects who have had previous transplants may be included.
