About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the robotic approach and conventional laparoscopic approach for rectal cancer surgery to evaluate functional results in terms of bowel, urinary and sexual function.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. Inclusion Criteria:

Adult patient (>18 years)
Histologically proven rectal adenocarcinoma
Absence of metastases
Laparoscopic rectal resection for cancer performed between 2012 and 2016

Exclusion Criteria:

Recurrence at the time of the study
Patients without research authorization
