A Study of Pain Rehabilitation Outcomes High Risk Chronic Pain Patients: Understanding Factors that Contribute to Increased Risk to Abuse Opioid Medication

About this study

The goal of this study is to provide longitudinal data on the efficacy of cognitive behavior- based interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation treatment combined with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and substance use education for patients with chronic pain with various levels of risk for opioid abuse.  

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Eighteen years of age or older
  2. Participation in the PRC program
  3. Ability to understand written English to complete standardized measures

Exclusion Criteria: 

  1. Cognitive deficits or language difficulties that would invalidate standardized assessment results
