MR Elastography of Hydrocephalus

About this study

We are doing this research study to develop and test the effectiveness of a new imaging technique called magnetic resonance elastography (MRE). This technique measures the stiffness (mechanical properties) of the brain and cerebral spinal fluid.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Human subjects will be recruited in ages from 3 to 99 years of age. Subjects will be in good general health with the exception of symptoms of hydrocephalus.

Exclusion Criteria:

Individuals with contraindications to MRI scanning such as a cardiac pacemaker, the presence of intraocular or intracranial metallic objects and MRI incompatible devices.
