A Study of Phenotypic and Genetic Analysis of Vascular Overgrowth Syndromes

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this research is to develop a better understanding of the cause of vascular overgrowth syndromes and to develop a clinically relevant classification system. The researchers will also seek to determine if there is a relationship between the specific gene mutation and the clinical features (genotype-phenotype correlation).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals (any age, including adults) with vascular overgrowth syndromes
    • Defined as a vascular anomaly associated with discrepancies in tissue growth.
  • Each patient or their authorized legal guardian must understand the nature of the study and must provide written informed consent.
  • Each patient must also give assent to study participation given they have the cognitive capacity to do so.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Inability to give consent for the study.
