A Study of the Quality of Life of Patients who have Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer

About this study

The purpose of this study is to show the quality of life and bowel function in patients who have been diagnosed with rectal cancer and are known to have Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer (HNPCC), especially to make comparisons between clinical managements, family history, and health behaviors.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

Patient has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the rectum
Patient has been diagnosed with clinical Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer
Patient is age 18 or older at the time of consent
Patient has the mental capacity to provide consent and the ability to complete a questionnaire in English
Patient is living and has available contact information
