A Study to Measure the Effects that Lighting, Sounds, and Temperature in Offices have on the Health of the People Who Work There

About this study

The purpose of this study is to measure the effects that office lighting, sound, and temperature have on the health and productivity of the adults who work there.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

Adults age 18 to 65
Ability to provide informed consent
Ability to conduct current work duties from a remote location
Minimum of 1 year of experience performing current work duties
Ability to work 20-40 hours per week

Exclusion Criteria

Severe hearing loss requiring the use of hearing aids
Severe vision problems
Sensitivity to light triggering headaches or epileptic episodes
Cognitive disabilities severely interfering with typical office work
Clinical depression or severe mood disorders
Drug (illegal or prescription narcotic), or alcohol dependency
Women who are pregnant or intend to become pregnant during the duration of the study
Physical disability prohibiting a variety of typical office tasks
Currently in a performance improvement plan if Mayo employee
Works more than 50% of time outside of office
