A Study of Response Rate and Survival from Combined Chemotherapy, Surgery and Radiation Therapy for Patients with Malignant Mesothelioma

About this study

The purpose of this study is to follow patients with malignant mesothelioma of the lung after they have had combined chemotherapy, surgery, and intensity modified radiation therapy and determine response rates and overall survival.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

>18 years of age
Competent for making medical decisions and provides informed consent
Scheduled to undergo chemotherapy followed by surgery and then intensity modified radiation therapy
A negative pregnancy test is required in women of child-bearing potential, as standard of care.
Subject is a surgical candidate
Patients will need to receive treatment at Mayo Clinic

Exclusion Criteria

Subject is <18 years old
