As a service of the Biomedical Ethics Research Program, clinical and translational researchers can seek consultations on promoting ethical conduct in research.
Faculty members in the Biomedical Ethics Research Program staff the Clinical and Translational Research Ethics Consultation (ClinTREC) service, which is part of the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) at Mayo Clinic.
The ClinTREC service is free for clinical and translational researchers seeking assistance on any ethical issues of concern, particularly on research protocols that may raise potentially sensitive issues, such as research involving human embryonic stem cells, storage of clinical samples for future research, or on research topics related to race, genetics or stigmatizing diseases.
