SUMMARY

The research of Yan W. Asmann, Ph.D., focuses on developing analytical algorithms and frameworks for multi-omics data mining, modeling and integration. Dr. Asmann has applied these methods to study complex disorders and to identify diagnostic-prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Dr. Asmann collaborates with clinical investigators and laboratory scientists in translational research of several diseases, including women's cancers, multiple myeloma and Alzheimer's disease.

Focus areas

  • Multi-omics data integration to study disease etiology, staging, prognoses and treatments
  • Cancer neoantigen identification and prioritization for neoantigen-directed immunotherapies
  • Models to discover novel therapy options, predict therapy outcomes, and identify patients for drug repurposing

Significance to patient care

Dr. Asmann's research will enable the discovery, validation and clinical application of genomic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in the era of individualized medicine.
