  • A Study to Evaluate the CAMS Relational Agent System (CAMS-RAS) for Suicide Prevention Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is a continuation of the Phase I feasibility study where the investigators fully met and exceeded project aims to design, build, and test the usability and acceptability of an avatar-based system, the Virtual-CAMS (V-CAMS, formerly called CAMS-RAS), for use by suicidal ED patients and medical personnel responsible for their care.

Phase II includes a formative phase, during which the investigators will continue conducting usability and acceptability tests of new features, and a summative phase to conduct a clinical trial. SBIR Phase II project aims include: (1) Complete development of V-CAMS, including readiness for electronic health ...

  • Common Mechanisms of Anti-Suicidal Drug Action Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to characterize the effects of clozapine, lithium, and ketamine on mTOR signaling, glucose uptake, and overall cellular metabolic function in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from suicidal psychiatric inpatients.

  • A Study to Evaluate Jaspr Application Compared to Care As Usual (CAU) in Emergency Department Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to compare Jaspr to Care-as-Usual (CAU) in Emergency departments nationwide.

  • Evaluation of the Educational Tool: The Suicidal Recovery Path poster Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of patients with the educational tool: The Suicidal Recovery Path poster.

  • Quantitative EEG Correlates of Suicidal Behaviors in Children and Adolescents Rochester, MN

The purpose of this study is to examine qEEG correlates of suicidal ideations and behaviors (SIBS) (screened by the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS)) in hospitalized adolescents between the ages of 13-18 years as compared to age-matched healthy participants.

  • Ketamine for Depression and Suicide Risk Rochester, MN

Study hypothesis: Do serial low-dose ketamine infusions, followed by weekly maintenance infusions, increase the length of time depressive symptoms stay in remission and the length of time associated suicide risk is improved? Brief Summary: This open label clinical trial is intended to further clarify initial response to low-dose ketamine infusion with repeated dosing and maintenance treatment model. Primary outcomes will be reduction in depression severity and reduction of suicide risk along with duration of response.

  • Sequential Bilateral Accelerated Theta Burst Stimulation in Adolescents With Suicidal Ideation Rochester, MN

The proposed study will examine sequential bilateral accelerated theta burst stimulation (aTBS). Three sessions are administered daily for 10 days (5 days per week). During each session continuous theta burst stimulation (cTBS) in which 1800 pulses are delivered continuously over 120 seconds to the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (RDPFC) is administered first, followed by iTBS in which 1800 pulses are delivered in 2 second bursts, repeated every 10 seconds for 570 seconds (1800 pulses) to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (LDPFC). The theta burst stimulation (TBS) parameters were adopted from prior work, with 3-pulse 50 Hz bursts given ...
